Singer F.C. 1883 Sweatshirt

£30.00 - £35.00

My latest project "Cov Clobber" is a range of designs aiming to celebrate Coventry City’s heritage and the spirit of our great fanbase.

Introducing the new black sweatshirt celebrating the origins of Coventry City FC. Paying homage to Singers FC the factory team founded by Willie Stanley in 1883.

On Friday 13th August 1883, Singers FC was founded by a group of cycle workers at George Singer’s factory when they met in the Lord Aylesford Inn, Hillfields. The club, formed by William Stanley and his colleagues, quickly became the premier association football team in the city. Willie became the club’s first ‘gaffer’ and fifteen year’s later, in May 1898, Singers FC became ‘Coventry City Football Club‘ – and the rest, as they say, is history!

This design proudly features the iconic red "S" of the Singers factory on the breast.

A tribute to the club’s rich history, this sweatshirt is a must-have for Sky Blues fans who honour the past whilst cheering the lads on from Singers corner.
